Kopapa reo maori

The kopapa reo maori or " commission with the language maori" was founded in 2003 following the " reo maori act". It is the organism in charge of the update and the standardization of the Maori of the islands Cook at the orthographical level, of the neologisms… Its members according to the law 5 and are named by the Minister for the culture of the Cook islands. It acts:

of the general secretary of the Ministry for the Culture or a person named by this one;
of the general secretary of the Minister of education or a person named by this one;
of a person recommended by the Council of Ariki. It is about Tamatoa Purua Ariki, one of the four chiefs of Aitutaki.
of a person whom the Ministry for the Culture will judge qualified to represent the interests of the women;
of a person which Ministry for the Culture will judge qualified to represent the interests of youth.
