Biography

Bruno Lopes , alias Kool Shen , born the February 9th 1967, is a Rap fear but also a breaker and tagueur/graffor French of Portuguese origin, cofounder of NTM. It is one of the major figures of the French Rap.

Its feather contributed to make NTM a clashing Duo, contrasting with the rougher energy of its assistant JoeyStarr. Melancholic person, lyric, sensitive and poetic, resolutely engaged in his texts, it is also a reference as regards flow hip-hop in French language, hypnotizing, fast, technical, funky ( the money rots people , 93… I press on the trigger , In the wind , Police , Like again , That' S my people , Odeurs of sulfur , Laisse not to trail your sons …).

After having supported the mark Com8 of its accomplice of NTM, it launches its own brand of street-wear: 2 high.

It left in spring 2004 (April 19th, 2004) an album solo, Dernier Round (Better sale rap 2004), its first and last album before putting a term at its career as a rappor. On this album, Kool Shen pays homage to Virginia Sullé, alias Lady V (which was his wife during 10 years) in the title " An angel in the ciel". It recontre a sharp success thanks to this hit, which was diffused much out of radio. Before drawing its reverence, the dark face of NTM, as it is even defined him, leaves an mini-album with a piece in Featuring with Rohff and Dadoo, the Future is with us . Then, Kool Shen prefers to be devoted entirely to its label, IV My People as a producer, label which already saw being born from the artists like Busta Flex, Serum, the first solos of experienced artists (Zoxea), or the American Toy and lately, the Specialists.

Its rap physical, in the past much faster, explosive and ambitious seems a little to have decreased on its last album. One knows problems of back to him, after-effects of his past of breakor but his breath with the clean direction as with the illustrated direction seems on this album to have decreased. The end of the emulation of its assistant Joey Starr has can be its role, so much its dynamics was paroxystic in the middle of the Années 1990.
