Konstantinos Logothetopoulos

Konstantinos Logothetopoulos (in Greek modern: Κωνσταντίνος Λογοθετόπουλος ) was a doctor and a Greek politician. It is Prime Minister of Greece of a government of collaboration during the occupation of Greece during the second world war.

Logothetopoulos was born with Nauplie in 1878. He studies medicine with Munich, and remains in Germany until in 1910 to practice and teach medicine. On its return in Greece, it founds a private clinic and serves in the army as a doctor at the time of the first War of Balkans, the second, and at the time of the gréco-Turkish Guerre.

In 1922, Logothetopoulos becomes professor of gynecology to the National university capodistrienne of Athens. It was, inter alia, professor of the deputy Grigoris Lambrakis.

After the capitulation of Greece at the time of the Battle of Greece, Logothetopoulos which speaks German and is married with Allemande, is named Vice-président and Minister for education in the government of collaboration of the general Georgios Tsolakoglou. It becomes Prime Minister the December 2nd 1942, before being replaced by Ioannis Rallis the April 7th 1943.

With the release, Logothetopoulos leaves the country for the Germany. It is captured by the American army which gives it to the Greek authorities. He is considered to be and recognized guilty of collaboration with the enemy and is condemned to the life imprisonment, but is slackened in 1951.

Logothetopoulos dies the July 8th 1961.
