Konstantin Fehrenbach
Konstantin Fehrenbach (January 11th 1852 Wellendingen - March 26th 1926 Freiburg) is a German statesman which was Chancelier of Reich under Weimar Republic between 1920 and 1921.
Biography
Recognized penal lawyer, Fehrenbach was elected with the diet of Baden in 1885 like member of the Zentrum (Left Catholic), but of the dissensions with the chief of this party obliged it to resign.
Elected with the Reichstag in 1903, it was quickly recognized like one of the most brilliant speakers. He becomes the last president of the Reichstag under imperial Germany. He chaired later the National Assembly of Weimar. Appointed chancellor of Reich, it had to resign in 1921 by its incapacity to obtain Allies of the concessions on the war reparations.
