Konqi

Konqi is small a dragon Vert, Mascotte of the project KDE. Its name was selected according to Konqueror, the Navigateur Web and Gestionnaire of files of project KDE. It was created in 1999 by Stefan Spatz.

Description

It carries anything else only a Bandana Rouge around the Cou, on which is registered the capital letter K in Blanc He.

Appearance

Konqi appeared in the versions 3.x of KDE. Thus, it was in particular present on the Splash screen of the version 3.0 beta.

However, although the mascot of the versions 2.x was a Sorcier called Kandalf, Konqi appeared there already in the dialog boxes announcing that a application had planted.

Boyfriend of Konqi

Konqi also has a boyfriend called Katie, who replaces it when it is too occupied, i.e. developing KDE or to ensure the Public relations.

Katie is also the mascot of KDE women' S project (the female project).
