Koloděje
The district of Koloděje makes party of the district of Prague 9. There are 40 streets and 400 addresses for 1225 inhabitants.
History
This district was attached to Prague in 1974.
Castle of Koloděje
In this castle, interdict with the public, take place of important governmental receptions. The castle with the characteristic to propose a sufficiently large space of meeting to accommodate 90 guests. Its use tends to being less and less frequent. Moreover, the Kumper family asks for the restitution of it to make a museum of it.
The interior of the castle is rococo.
Its cellars are known to have sheltered political prisons during the communist era of the Czechoslovakia.
The park is famous to contain the oldest tree of Prague. Charles IV of the Holy roman Empire would have planted this oak in 1359.
