Knocker

Called " Frappeurs" or " Cogneurs" mines (of tin especially), the Knockers type in the bowels rich in ore to attract the minors there. But Knockers also inform these of an imminent danger, like a collapse or a firedamp explosion. They brutally knock the stone in a hammering cacophony and, according to the legend, thus saved the life of many minors. In exchange of the rendered services, Knocker awaits an only little food: crepes and waffles with sugar. Knockers hate the coarse minors particularly, and n the other hand from their spit swearword they their tear off the head.
