Knave of diamonds

The Knave of diamonds is a Muscovite pictorial movement of the years 1910-1913, of which the goals rest on the very particular interpretation of the lessons of Paul Cézanne and of the French Post-impressionism, the Fauvisme and the German Expressionnisme of the Blaue Reiter.

Directs and Picasso took part several times in the exposures of the Knave of diamonds in Russia.

Its most famous representatives are between-others: Larionov and Nathalie Gontcharova, Piotr Kontchalovsky, Lentoulov, Ilya Machkov, Robert Falk.
