The Knauties are long-lived herbaceous plants of the family of the Dipsacacées pertaining to the kind Knautia . There exists more than 60 species.

The Knauties are often commonly indicated by the name of Scabieuses although this term indicates the kind Scabiosa of which they do not form part.
