Blainville-on-Flowering ash is a common French, located in the department of the Calvados and the area Basse-Normandie.

Blainville-on-flowering ash is located in the northern suburbs of Caen at 10 km of the city.

- the door of the old castle of Colbert in front of the church, more known under the name of Colbert gate.
- the church dates partially of the Moyen-âge. Its frontage is 18th century. It has a Retable going back from 1666 decorated of a Présentation to the Temple and to two statues ( Vierge with the Child and Saint-Etienne ) and also a very old statue of Saint-Gerbold whose church bore the name a long time.
Personalities related to the commune
Jules Launay, 1906-1979, mayor of Blainville-on-Flowering ash of 1947 to 1965. It is in particular during its mandates that the school complex was built Colbert and that the factory Renault-Trucks (then Saviem) was installed on the territory of the commune.
