Klaus Wowereit

Klaus Wowereit , born on October 1st, 1953 with Berlin, is a German politician of center-left member of the social democrat Parti (SPD). He is since June 16th, 2001 mayor-governor of Berlin with the row of Minister-president.

Formation and profession

After having obtained in 1973 its Abitur in the Ulrich-von-Hutten-Oberschule of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit starts studies of Droit to the free Université of Berlin where it obtains in 1979 and in 1981 its diplomas of State in right. He was then adviser near the senator (minister) of the Interior of Berlin.

Franco-German relations

Since January 1st, 2007, Klaus Wowereit is plenipotentiary for the Franco-German cultural relations within the framework of the Traité of the Elysium, succeeding Peter Müller, the minister-president of the Saar.
