Klassieker

The Klassieker is the derby opposing 2 of the 3 large clubs of the Netherlands: the Ajax Amsterdam against the Feyenoord Rotterdam. Klassekier of the February 5th 2006 (the 100ème) saw the victory of the Feyenoord Rotterdam 3-2 vis-a-vis the Ajax Amsterdam. In each Klassieker, confrontations between supporters take place. This competition is on the one hand a sporting competition dating from the years 1960 - 1970. And in addition, it recovers a cultural and social competition. On a side middle-class of Amsterdam against the proletarian of Rotterdam. The historical city of Amsterdam against the modern city of Rotterdam.
