Kladno
Kladno is a Czech commune, located in the area of Bohemia-Power station.
History
The first mention which refers with certainty with Kladno dates from the beginning of the 14th century. What was not whereas a village was the property of the lords of Kladno whose line dies out in 1543. In 1561, the city gains the right blasonnement to use its characteristic without however demolishing feudal bonds, it then depends on the lords of Zdar until in 1701, then of Anne Marie Francoise, archduchess of Tuscany which yields its baillage in 1705 to the monks Benedictines of Břevnov on which Kladno will depend until in 1848.The discovery of coal at the 19th century marks the departure of a new stage of the urban development which becomes an important industrial center and whose population explodes then.
In 1898, the Emperor François-Joseph Ier grants the title of “royal mining city to him”.
