Kléber college

The Lycée Kléber is an establishment of public education of Strasbourg (67) gathering at the same time a Collège, a general Lycée, and its famous Preparatory classes at the universities which made the reputation of the establishment.

Teaching

Before the baccalaureat:

The establishment has a Collège (6^e - 3^e)

The establishment prepares with the general baccalaureat, series: besides

* scientific (S) - it is necessary to note strong dominant the scientist in his center, due to the classes post-vat.

* literary (L)

* economic and social (ES)

* rate of success with the baccalaureat : between 90 and 94%, including 45% with mention.

There is more than 2000 pupils only in the Lycée.

After the baccalaureat:

The establishment prepares also 900 students divided in 22 preparatory classes at the universities.

* scientific classes: MPSI (with also the data-processing option) and PCSI followed by MP, PSI and PC, and the corresponding spangled classes.

* scientific economic classes.

The students of sup and of spé (without redoubling) can be placed within the boarding school of 250 rooms, equipped each one with a bathroom and a connection to Internet. It should be noted that the number of places to the boarding school is limited in front of the number of pupils.

It is one of the colleges of Province best classified with the Concours.

Geographical location

The Kléber college is located in Strasbourg, its main entrance in the establishment is done by the place of Bordeaux where a carpark is. Its surface is rectangular, with its length parallel with the street Jacques Kablé.

The current buildings were built starting from 1955.

One counts 9 of them:

* Building a: Reception. Administrative services of the college.

* Building b: College Kléber (6^e-3^e). Administrative services of the College. Classrooms.

* Building C: College Kléber (second cycle). Classrooms and C.D.I

* Building D: Scientific block. Specialized rooms (college).

* Building S: Laboratories of Physical sciences. Amphitheater (college).

* Building F: Residence and school restaurant. Classrooms. Infirmary.

* Building G: Kléber college - Classrooms. Service of intendance

* Building E: Block Languages (college).

* Building M: Rooms of Philosophy (Old Cafeteria) (college).

One notices also the presence of a great sporting unit, with large a Gymnase and three small, a stage of athletics and grounds of Tennis and Basket-ball.

It should be noted that currently, the Kléber college is in work. Indeed, a construction of a new C.D.I is planned for the end 2008. One envisages also a restoration of the building C, which will be cut out into two then rebuilt.
