Kiwi of Owen
The kiwi of Owen ( Apteryx owenii ) is smallest species of kiwi, being approximately 25 cm high and weighing approximately 1,3 kg. It lays only a egg, which is brooded by the male.
The kiwi of Owen is unable to survive the action of Prédateur S such as the Chat S, the Cochon S and the Hermine S. It almost disappeared from the principal islands of New Zealand, but it was introduced on some small islands where these predatory does not exist.
