Kittim
This name appears in the list of four wire of Yavane although it is always presented in the plural in the biblical writings (Genèse 10:4).
It is thus used to designate people and an area. Flavius Josèphe in Old story of the Jews, liv. I chap.6 calls Kittim by Chetim and declares that it occupied the island of Cyprus, to which it gave its name. Old the Phéniciens gave to the inhabitants of this island the name of kitti .
