Kittie

Kittie is a group of Neo entirely female metal. The members current of the group are all originating in the Canada (London, Ontario). Fallon Bowman (guitar) and Mercedes Lander (battery), the founders of the group, met in 1997 at the time of a course of gymnastics, the group was created thereafter, when Morgan Lander (guitar and song) older sister of Mercedes joined them. They started by playing of the resumptions of Nirvana and of Silverchair then composed their own songs thereafter.

Formation

The line up of Kittie often changed.

  • Tanya Candler (ex- Low), did not want to engage too early in the world of the music and having health issues, she preferred to continue her studies and left the group right before the recording of Spit,

  • Fallon Bowman (ex- Guitare/ex- Chant), following quarrels and of frequent dissensions with the other members of the group, Fallon left it, she is part from now on of the group Amphibious Assault.
  • Jeff Philips , (ex- Guitar), was for one period, after the departure of Fallon Bowman live guitarist of the group, it currently plays in the group Thine Eyes Bleed.
  • Talena Atfield (ex- Low), bass player charged to replace Tanya Candler. Talena decided to stop playing in Kittie at the time of the European round for personal reasons (it did not support the fact of being found far from his).
  • Jennifer Stream (ex- Low), old member of the group Spine, recruited in order to replace Talena Atfield. Jennifer decided to leave Kittie to devote himself entirely to her other musical project named Suicide City,
  • LISA Marx (ex- Guitare), old member of the group originating in Seattle called To See You Broken, the reasons of her departure are unknown according to her official site.
