Kitcisakik
The Community Anicinape of Kitcisakik is a small community indigenous of the area of Abitibi-Témiscamingue with the Canada where 312 people live in a permanent way. There are 45 members who do not live in the community. Kitcisakik is located at 66 km in the south of Valley-D' gold.

The housing stock of the community is composed of 70 family housing units, of a medical block, office of the Conseil of band and a dispensary. The residences are not connected to the services of aqueduct and with sewer, only the office of the council of band, the dispensary and the medical block are equipped with it. To supply itself out of drinking water, the residents of the place must go to the medical block and fill of the containers of all kinds which they transport to their residences. Considering the absence of measurement of hygiene, this way of doing opens the door with the proliferation of the bacteria and the disorders of health.
Its population students consists of 16 students of the elementary school of Kitcisakik, Kabi Opagitc (K-1) and there are 145 students in the schools provincial while pensioning. The elementary school of Kitcisakik is in its second year of existence and it consists of 2 classes of pupil of K-1. There are also a library and an office of direction. One finds there also a data-processing laboratory. The community has its own site Web which is it.
They are on standby of an official Reserve by the Departement of the Indian businesses and north Canada (INAC) and this since 1906.
