Kita is a city of the Mali, in the area of Kayes, located on the line of Railroad of Dakar-Niger. The population is estimated at 41.641 inhabitants in 2006.

In November 1955, Kita becomes a commune of average exercise. March 2nd 1966, Kita becomes a commune of full exercise.
