Kirk Hammett

Kirk Lee Hammett is a American Guitariste of heavy known metal to be since more 20ans the soloist of the group Metallica. It was born the November 18th 1962 with San Francisco.

Biography

Kirk Hammett begins its career of guitarist in 1981 by cofondant the group Exodus which it leaves in 1983 before the recording of their first album. It has just been discharged by James Hetfield (the brain of Metallica) who on his side comes to return Dave Mustaine, 1st guitar of then, and this Juste before the recording of their own first opus, the cultissime Kill 'EM All. Kirk very quickly makes forget Mustaine and offers by its technique the final key which will make of Metallica a group of heavy-metal with world scale. Dave Mustaine will found Megadeth thereafter.

Kirk Hammett is the guitarist principal soloist of the group.

In November 2005, Kirk second Carlos Santana with the guitar on its album All that I amndt (to be also noted the collaboration of Steven Tyler (Aerosmith). Kirk was appointed 11th better guitarist in the world by the magazine Rolling Stone . Some is its row, a solo of Kirk Hammett is recognizable between hundred by its sound, its phrased, its technique. Kirk Hammett has a capacity of adaptation and appreciable musical opening. It indeed passed during its career of the speed metal of (Kill 'EM All) to the technique of " And Justice for All" , while passing by blues-metal-rock'n'roll " Load" and " Reload".

To note: Kirk was during several years the pupil of another virtuoso of the 6 cords, Joe Satriani. It is there - in addition to the technique - that he learned how to build his solos, with the sructurer.

Hammett married Lani Gruttadauro, with which it had a boy " Angel Ray Keala" born on September 29th, 2006.
