Kings de Númenor
Here the list of the kings of Númenor , country of the universe invented of J.R.R. Tolkien. Except another indication, the dates are those of the Second Age.
Elros Tar-Minyatur

Wire of Eärendil and brother of Elrond, Elros is born in year 532 from the First Age. When the Valar gave the choice of the race to which him and his/her brother would wish to belong, it chooses the Hommes and became first king de Númenor under the name of Tar-Minyatur . It reigns on the island from 32 to 442, year of its death.
Vardamir
Vardamir (61-471), oldest son of Elros, does not reign indeed on the island, but directly transmits the Sceptre, symbol of the capacity, with his/her Amandil son: it thus founds the habit, which perdure until Tar-Ciryatan, that the kings yield the capacity to their heir a few years before their death, in full possession of their means. Vardamir is called Nólimon because set on science and knowing.
Tar-Amandil
Tar-Amandil (192-603) reign from 442 to 590.
Tar-Elendil
Tar-Elendil (350-751) reign from 590 to 750. It is called Parmaitë for the many books which it compiles starting from the work of his Vardamir grandfather. It is under its reign that Númenóréens return for the first time in Ground of the Medium (600).
Tar-Meneldur
Tar-Meneldur (543-942) reign from 750 to 883. Its passion for astronomy is worth to him the nickname of Meneldur , its true patronym being Irimon . It gives up very early the capacity in favor of his son, doubting his capacities vis-a-vis the new evil which is concerned out of Ground the Medium: Sauron.
Tar-Aldarion
Tar-Aldarion (700-1098), of its name of birth Anardil , is the sixth King of Númenor, reigning from 883 to 1075. Impassioned by the trees and large navigator, it plants many forests in order to feed out of wood the many building sites naval which are born under its reign. It goes also several Ground times of the Medium and became the friend and lun faithful support of Gil-Galad in the fight against the new dark lord, Sauron. Its marriage with Erendis is unhappy, and it gives him only one girl, Ancalimë. It amends the law of succession of Númenor, which prohibited the girls from reigning, so that she can take the sceptre after him.
Its history is described in the text “Aldarion and Erendis” ( unfinished Contes and legends , the Second Age).
Tar-Ancalimë
Tar-Ancalimë (873-1285) reign of 1075 to 1280. It is the first sovereign queen of Númenor. After the death of her father, it ceases all relations with Gil-galad.
Tar-Anárion
Tar-Anárion (1003-1404) reign of 1280 to 1394.
Tar-Súrion
Tar-Súrion (1174-1574) reign of 1394 to 1556.
Tar-Telperien
Tar-Telperien (1320-1731) reign of 1556 to 1731. Second sovereign Queen of Númenor. Not wanting a husband, it does not have a descent and thus does not transmit the capacity of alive sound. To its death, the sceptre passes to the son of Isilmo, his/her younger brother.
Tar-Minastir
Tar-Minastir (1474-1873) reign of 1731 to 1869. Thus named because of the tower which it builds on the hill of Oromet, in the north of Númenor, from where it scans the West. It sends a fleet to the help of Gil-galad at the time of the first war against Sauron in Eriador.
Tar-Ciryatan
Tar-Ciryatan (1634-2035) reign of 1869 to 2029. It conquers vast territories in Ground of the Medium to appease its thirst for richnesses.
Tar-Atanamir
Tar-Atanamir , known as Large the (1800-2221) reign of 2029 to 2221. Under its reign, Númenóréens start to extort a tribute from the less Hommes of the Ground of the Medium. It is the first to reject the interdict of the Valar and to be diverted them, but it still fears to attack them openly. He is also the first king to refuse to give up the capacity of alive sound.
Tar-Ancalimon
Tar-Ancalimon (1986-2386) reign from 2221 to 2386. Under its reign appear the parties of the Men of the King, most, in favor of the rupture with the Eldar and the Valar, and of the Faithful ones, which make a point of preserving the friendship of the Elfes.
Tar-Telemmaitë
Tar-Telemmaitë (2136-2526) reign from 2386 to 2526. Avid of noble metals and particularly of the Mithril, which is worth its name to him (which means “With the money hands”).
Tar-Vanimeldë
Tar-Vanimeldë (2277-2637) reign from 2526 to 2637. Third sovereign Queen of Númenor, it leaves the effective capacity to the hands of her husband Herucalmo, a descendant with the same degree of Tar-Atanamir.
Tar-Anducal
Tar-Anducal (2286-2657) reign from 2637 to 2657. With died of his wife, Herucalmo usurps the throne (which should have returned to their Alcarin son) under the name of Tar-Anducal. It is not counted among the legitimate kings of the island.
Tar-Alcarin
Tar-Alcarin (2406-2737) reign from 2637 to 2737. It reigned indeed only eighty years, but one considers that his reign lasted hundred years, by thus being unaware of the usurpation of his father.
Tar-Calmacil
Tar-Calmacil (2516-2825) reign from 2737 to 2825. He is the first king to see his name translated into Adûnaic: Ar-Belzagar . He assumes nevertheless the capacity under his name in Quenya, by superstition.
Tar-Ardamin
Tar-Ardamin (2618-2899) reign from 2825 to 2899. Its name adûnaic is Ar-Abattârik .
Ar-Adûnakhôr
Ar-Adûnakhôr (2709-2962) reign from 2899 to 2962. He dares to be opposed to the Valar and is the first king to assume the capacity under a name Adûnaic, translation of his name quenya Tar-Herunúmen . This name is regarded by as blasphématoire and is usurped much: indeed, in the two languages, it means “Lord of the West” and this title is normally reserved for Manwë, first of Valar. It prohibits the language teaching eldarines. The visits of the Eldar of Tol Eressëa rarefy.
Ar-Zimrathôn
Ar-Zimrathôn (2798-3033) reign from 2962 to 3033. Its name Quenya is Tar-Hostamir .
Ar-Sakalthôr
Ar-Sakalthôr (2876-3102) reign from 3033 to 3102. Its name quenya is Tar-Falassion .
Ar-Gimilzôr
Ar-Gimilzôr (2960-3177) reign from 3102 to 3177. Its name quenya is Tar-Telemnar . It completely prohibits the use of the languages of the Elfes, interdict with the Eldar to accost on Númenor and punishes their hosts. His wife, Inzilbêth, are Faithful, that he had married for his beauty. It raises their Inziladûn oldest son in the respect of the old habits, while their second wire, Gimilkhâd (3044-3243), shows the worthy heir to his father.
Tar-Palantir
Tar-Palantir (3035-3255) reign from 3177 to 3255. It is before last king of Númenor. Its name Adûnaic is Ar-Inziladûn . When it becomes king, it begins again name elfic, Tar-Palantir (“Which sees with far”), in order to try to join again the bonds with the Eldar, broken because of attitude of the preceding kings. During some time, it brings peace to Faithful, persecuted before. It returns to the White Tree the care and the honors which were due for him. However, his/her brother Gimilkhâd, who was strong and brutal, opposes him and it takes the head of the Men of the King, being opposed openly to the wills of the king. He dies of sorrow and leaves only one girl, Míriel.
Ar-Pharazôn
Ar-Pharazôn , known as Vermeil or Gilded the (3118-3319) reign from 3255 to 3319. Its name quenya is Tar-Calion . He is the son of Gimilkhâd, the younger brother of Tar-Palantír. With died of this last, he marries of force his Míriel cousin, contravening the laws of the island, and usurps the throne.
Ar-Pharazôn is proud and wishes over all to conquer the Ground of the Medium: the power of Númenor reaches its apogee under its reign, and is opposed to that Sauron. In 3262, Ar-Pharazôn deploys a powerful army and unloads on the continent. Sauron pretends to be subjected and is taken along as an hostage on Númenor, where it endeavors to corrupt the spirit of the king: in a few years, he becomes his adviser more listened. He persuades the king to leave to the conquest of immortality while going to invade Valinor, ground of the Valar. Those request Eru to act, and this one intervenes personally by absorbing the army of the last king and all the island of Númenor. However Elendil and some of its partisans, the Faithful ones, managed to leave in time, carrying in particular with them a seedling of Nimloth and the seven palantíri.
Tar-Míriel
Tar-Míriel (3117-3319) is the Ar-Pharazôn wife from 3255 to 3319. Its name adûnaic is Ar-Zimraphel . When Eru absorbs Númenor, Míriel tries to climb the Meneltarma to take refuge at its top, but the large wave which submerges the island also carries it.
