- Sigeberht Ier Small the, grandson of the precedent, (623 - 633)
- Sigeberht II the Saint, (633 - 653)
- Swithelm, (653 - 664)
- Sighere, wire of Sigeberht Ier, (664 - 688)
- Sebbi the Saint, wire of Sæweard, reigns initially jointly with Sighere (664 - 688) then only with died of this last (688 - 692) and divides again capacity with its sons Sigeheard and Swæfred. He abdicates in 692 and dies shortly after.
- Sigeheard and Swæfred, (693 - 707)
- Offa, wire of Sighere, (707 - 709). He abdicates and leaves for Rome.
- Sælred, wire of Sigeberht II, (709 - 746)
- Swæbearhtn reign jointly with the precedent (709 - 738)
- Swithred, descendant of Sebbi (746 - 759)
- Sigeric, wire of Sælred, (759 - 798). He abdicates and leaves for Rome.
- Sigered, wire of Sigéric, (798 - 825)
In 825, the king Egbert de Wessex conquers Essex. He will become then the county of Essex
