King of the Romans
The title of king of the Romans ( rex romanorum ) is not a title Italy N, it is the title of the Germanic Roman Emperor after his election and before he is crowned by the Pape.
The title for the first time was used in 1002 for the emperor Henri II the Lame . Starting from Maximilien I {{er}} (1459-1519), the Germanic Roman Emperor is not crowned any more by the pope (except for Charles Quint who will be it in 1530), and titrates it of king of the Romans is used to designate the presumptive successor of the emperor, elected official of living of this last.
