King Stitt

King Stitt (born Winston Cooper or Winston Sparkes in 1940 with Kingston, Jamaica). It is known as being one of the first DJ of the scene Reggae.

Biography

Count Machuki noticed it at the time of one evening because he danced in a spectacular way and asked to him whether he wanted to test himself with the mixing. Born with a facial malformation, Stitt made its marque  of it;: tie profit of the attraction that the islanders had for the westerns, it was made call ugly the ( The Ugly ), by allusion to film of Sergio Leone the Good, the Rough one and the Gangster ( The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly ). At the beginning, people came to its shows to check if it were really ugly. Thereafter, it became DJ without needing to play of its handicap, recovering the ideas of the DJ of Miami and New-Orleans diffused on the radio waves in Jamaica.

It is with the Sound system Downbeat of Coxsone that he officiated during major the part of his career.
