King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes
The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes is a horse-race international of group I which is held on the hippodrome of Ascot, in England.
It is a test reserved for the horses 3 years and more, which is run on 2.400 meters. It is the race most raised of England, since clash there, for the first time in the season, the best 3 years and the best horses of age. It is to some extent the Arc summer.
The equipment, for the year 2007, rises with 1.099.923 €.
Tulyar became the first winner of Derby to allocate the race the same year. Since, twelve foalta realized doubled: Pinza (1953), Nijinsky (1970), Millet Reef (1971), Grundy (1975), The Minstrel (1977), Troy (1979), Shirker (1981), Does not refer (1987), Nashwan (1989), Generous (1991), Lammtarra (1995) and Galileo (2001).
Dahlia (1973, 1974) and Swain (1997, 1998) is only double the winners of the test.
