Kin-Ball
The Kin-Ball is a collective Sport created with the Quebec in 1986 by Mario Demers, professor of physical education. The international federation of Kin-Ball counts 3,8 million practitioners primarily located at the Canada, with the the United States, the Japan, in Belgium, France, Suisse, with the Denmark, in Spain, Germany and Malaysia.
The rules of the game were elaborate so as to stress the respect of the other players and the referees, the team spirit and the permanent implication of all the players.
The goal of the play
To be used the balloon, which has a diameter of 1.22 meter (4 feet) and weighs one kilo, for the one of the opposing teams so that the latter cannot take delivery of it before it touches the ground.
The team which has the balloon (that is with the service or during the play) chooses one of the opposing teams (that which has the most points) by calling it by her color, preceded by “ Omnikin ”, then striking the balloon towards a strategic place, more handicapping possible for the selected team. At the time of striking, all the players must be in contact with the balloon.
For the team with the reception, the goal is to raise the balloon before it touches the ground and to start again it (by making a striking) with another team.
If the named team does not succeed in catching the balloon or if it makes a fault according to the rules of the game, a point is granted to the two other teams.
Duration of a match
A match is composed of 3 thirds time of 7 (for young people) at 15 (for the adults) minutes each one. The team which leads to the pointing at the end of the 3 periods gains the part.
--> At present 2006-2007, in the Senior League Elite of Quebec, a new rate/rhythm of play is tested: it is about one 3 of 7. I.e., the first team to only gain 3 7 minutes periods. <--
A time of 3 minutes pause is allocated between each period. The handing-over concerned of the second and third third time is carried out by the team which has less point in the table of pointing.
Setting with the play: The throw of the beginning of the part or the period must be carried out central point of the gymnasium. It is carried out by the referee by whistling two small consecutive blows.
Teams
Three cells of 4 players are on the ground.
A team consists of a minimum of 4 players, until a maximum of 8 players, plus a trainer, a assistant-trainer and a welfare man.
To distinguish the three teams, all the players of a team must carry the same color of number. With the international level, the official colors are the pink gray, it and the black, except for Quebec whose blue color was added in September 2004 to replace it pink.
There are always three teams on the ground (except for a prolongation with two teams, or if a team is disqualified).
The ground
The sport Kin-Ball is practiced in room on a ground of 21m X 21m (or 70pi X 70pi). The surface of the ground must be in a matter making it possible to make slips, for example the parquet floor.
