Kimsou

Kimsou is a South Korean artist of origin North-Korean, born in 1919 with Hamheung.

It goes to the Japan and follows preparatory courses there to the Academy of painting Kawabata. It is registered then with the courses of oil-base paint of the School of the Art schools of Tokyo.

It is then taken refuge in South Korea and there carries out its first individual exposure to the Donghwa Gallery with Seoul.
In 1954, it is part-time lecturer to the faculty of the fine arts of Seoul and goes in 1955 to Paris. Its first personal exposure made there to the Gallery Lara Vincy in 1957. Elected official member of the Living room of autumn, it receives the 2nd price with the Exposure of the foreign painters in Paris .

In 1961, it turns over to Korea east it is named “specialist in the fine arts” at the Korean committee of UNESCO.
It leaves in 1967 to the the United States and teaches the drawing and painting with the College of Moore Arts of Philadelphia then turns over to Korea or it continues its work.
