Kimbrough junior
David " Junior" Kimbrough (born in Hudsonville, on July 28th, 1930; died in Holly Springs, on January 17th, 1998) is one of the principal guitarists of American Blues.
Kimbrough is originating in Hill Country in the north of the state of the the Mississippi in the area of Holly Springs. Although he played the major part of his life, he will meet success only after having signed a contract with the label Fat Possum Records with the beginning of the year 1990.
Distilling an inimitable sound near to fright, he was consequently regarded as an alive legend of the blues. This notoriety attracted the members of U2 and the Rolling Stones in its bar " Junior' S Place" in Chulahoma (the Mississippi) where it was accustomed to playing all the week ends. It will also take part in an American round in support of Iggy Pop.
In 2006, the group of Blues American rock'n'roll The Black Keys pays homage to him by publishing the album of recoveries Chulahoma .
