Kildare

Kildare ( Lash Dara in Irish Gaelic, i.e. “Church of the Oak S”) is a city of the Comté of Kildare in Irish Republic. Although it gives its name to the county, Kildare is not the chief town, this returning privilege with Naas. The city is located at approximately 50 km in the west of Dublin, to be become sufficiently near a dormitory town of the capital.

Kildare shelters the most important stud farm of Ireland, the Irish National Stud , as well as gardens Japanese. The majority of the surrounding grounds are used for the breeding of horses.

At the era pre-Christian woman, Kildare was the site of a furnace bridge dedicated to the Celtic divinity Brigid.

Kildare is twinned with the famous town of France, Deauville
