Kikongo

The kikongo is a spoken language by the Kongo ( bakongo in kikongo) alive in Angola, Democratic republic of Congo (in the provinces of the Low-Congo, the Bandundu and the Kinshasa), and in République of Congo (in the south-western area until Brazzaville).

Kituba

The Munukutuba (or Kituba), one of the official languages of Congo-Brazzaville is a simplified and vehicular, comprehensible kikongo by the speakers of the various dialects of the kikongo.

In Congo-Kinshasa, the constitution specifies that the kikongo is one of the four national languages, but the kituba is the language used in the administration. This can be explained by the fact why kikongo , kikongo ya Leta and kituba is generally used like synonyms.
