Kickapoo
The Ecuador is a country located at the south-west of the South America between the Colombia and the Peru.
General geography of the country
Its surface is of 283.560 km ² including 276.840 km ² of ground and 6.720 km ² of water, it share 2.010 km of border with the Peru (1 420 km) in the south and the east and with the Colombia (590 km) in north. In the west, it has 2.237 km of coasts on the Pacific Ocean.Its altitude varies between 0 m and + 6.267 m with the Chimborazo.

Areas
Ecuador consists of three great areas and the islands Galápagos.
Costa
The Costa ( the coast ) which includes/understands the sedimentary littoral plain and an assembly line of low altitude (800 m on average). It is one of the most fertile areas in which the production of Banane S and Ananas is very important. Moreover, it is one of richest the area of the country.
It covers a little more of the quarter of the surface of the country. North is covered by a wet tropical forest whereas the south is much more arid like the east also the coastal region of the Peru.
The climate is hot and wet there, with an average annual temperature of approximately 26°C.
The Sierra
The Sierra ( the mountain ), is made up of a double parallel cordillera of high volcanos and massifs.It includes/understands the Western Cordillera (with the highest volcano of the country the Chimborazo which culminates to 6.310 m).
And the Eastern Cordillera (also called royal ) which contains more than one dozen of volcanic peaks of an altitude higher than 5.000 m.
These two cordillera are separated by a median ditch (called the Andean corridor ) which is a succession of basins of fill like that of Quito.
The climate, softened by altitude makes it possible to the farmers to cultivate in the fertile valleys all kinds of Fruit S, Légume S or Céréale S. the breeding is also developed but is limited to the local market. Indeed, the temperatures spread out between 7°C and 21°C.
Directs
The Oriente ( Eastern jungle , the Amazonian area) covers approximately half of the territory, it is an area undulating and covered by the tropical dense forest. The temperatures border 38°C and annual precipitations reach 4.000 mm, which of makes the hottest area and wettest of the pays.The forest is damaged by the construction of pipelines (for the Pétrole) and of roads, however, of large national parks were created in order to preserve certain zones of the forest.
The Galápagos islands
The islands Galápagos' comprise six principal islands and a dozen smaller small islands which are the emerged parts of volcanic buildings for the majority extinct. Those are located in the Pacific Ocean at 1.000 km at the west of Guayaquil. It should be specified that the archipelago is a national park.
Risks natural and anthropic
The Ecuador undergone of the frequent Seism S, of the landslides, an important volcanic activity, periodic floods and drynesses because of the phenomenon El Niño.On the level of the problems due to the man, it there with the deforestation of Amazonia, erosion of the grounds, the turning into a desert which had with the Climate warming, the water pollution and oil pollution in the ecologically significant zones of the Galápagos islands.
