Khorramshahr

Khorramshahr (Persan: خرمشهر), is a port city Iran ienne of the province of the Khuzestan. It is located at approximately 10 km in the north of Abadan, on the Iranian side of the border with Iraq. The city extends on Right Bank from the river Arvand beside its flowing with the river Karoun. The port of the city is called Bandar-E-Khorramshahr . The city was on the line of the face of the Guerre Iran-Iraq.

Khorramshahr bore the name of Mohammerah (in Arab: rear RTL محمره) until in 1924.
