Khnoumhotep II
Khnoumhotep was Nomarque of Oryx, in the east of the the Nile on average Egypt, under the reign of three Pharaons: Amenemhat {{II}}, Sésostris {{II}} and Sésostris {{III}} ().
Its quadrangular tomb of almost 10 m broad and 6 m height is one of most beautiful of Beni Hassan; the gantry of entry, supported by two columns, makes 7,2 m of width and 2,1 m of depth. Decoration takes again the traditional topics of the burials of the Ancien and the Moyen Empire, but also presents original scenes. Khnoumhotep tells the history of its family there, explaining the important functions that she exerted and its own administration of names; it evokes his children as well as the construction of his tomb. The most famous scene is that of the arrival of Asian, in the sixth year of the reign of Sésostris.
