Form of Khmer
The written form of Khmer is alphasyllabic (see Khmer Alphabet ). Khmer has less Voyelle S written that of Phonème S expressed. Each Consonne belongs to the one of the two series of consonants. The vowel produced depends on the combination made with a consonant. Thus the majority of the vowels have two pronunciations possible. When there is no vowel, the vowel associated with each consonant is then used. Also one divides the vowels into two groups: dependant and independent. The first are more often used but the seconds are returned phonetically with a dependant vowel. Moreover the language khmère has also the diacritic ones which modifies a series of consonants or changes the pronunciation of the vowel.
