Khatoun

Khatoun (Mongolian xatan ), title of the Mongolian princesses , female Mongolian of khan (Mongolian xaan ).

The Turkish medieval created the alternative form khanoum , khanym , which at the beginning means " my prince" (cf begum starting from beg : lord), as in Bibi Khanoum, wife of Tamerlan. This word is found with the direction of " madame" in Persan modern ( khanom ) and Turkish modern ( hanım ).

In Turkish, one finds also the C-W communication hatun (lady), which makes during with the çelebi (lord) of the princes (cf Yakub Çelebi and Nefise Hatun, respectively wire and girl of Murad I {{er}}).
