Khatanga
The Khatanga (in Russian Хатанга ) is a 150 km long river located at the north of the Siberia in Russia of Asia.

Khatanga is born to 600 km in north from the polar circle, not far from the port of Khatanga, of the junction of the rivers Cheta and Kotoui. The river runs towards the North-East - in the south of the Presqu'île of Taimyr and in the north of the mountains of central Siberia - through the depression of Taimyr until the Golfe of long Khatanga 220 km giving in the Mer of Laptev.
Others
The principal affluents, in addition to the rivers Cheta and Kotoui which gives him birth, are: Nischnjaja, Bludnaja, Popigai, Nowaja and Malaja.
By counting the Kotoui, longest of its affluents, the course of Khatanga reaches 1.636 km. The basin of the river with its affluents has a surface of 275.000 km ². The flow varies on average from 500 m ³ /s in the middle of the winter to 15.000 m ² /s at the beginning of the summer.
In general the river is taken in the ices of at the end of September at the beginning of June: it is navigable only during the summer period.
One finds in the river several species of fish among which the Corégone and the white Saumon.
