Kharg
Kharg or Khark جزیرهخارک|Jazireh Khark is a island Persian Gulf pertaining to the Iran. It is located at 25 km (13,5 miles) of the coast of Iran and at 483 km in the north of the Détroit of Ormuz (). Managed by the adjacent Province of Bushehr, the island extends the Iranian Territorial water towards the oil layers of the Persian Gulf. The island of Kharg has a port making it possible to export oil. Until 1986, the terminal of Kharg was one of the largest terminals offshore oil rig of crude oil and the principal Iranian terminal. Heavy bombardments of the installations of the island between 1982 and 1986 destroyed to it quasi totality of infrstructures. The Kharg island was then located in the middle of the reservoir oil Darius , also destroyed to him by the intensive bombardments. The réparationsdes installations were very slow, even after the end of the war in 1988, because of the hostility of the government Iraq IEN and the war of the gulf in 1990 - 1991.
