Khéphren

Khéphren is the Greek name of the Pharaon of the Egyptian Ancient Empire () Khafrê . On the Papyrus of Turin, it is called Khâef Re . One locates his reign at the neighborhoods of -2520/-2518 with -2494/-2493.

Kaouâb, the crown prince, dies before his brother and it is Khéphren, the half-brother of Djédefrê which takes the succession. It preserves the Re wire title by developing the assertion of the importance of Atoum vis-a-vis Re, and will leave behind him the large Sphinx of Gizeh not far from the low temple of funerary sound complex.

It made build the second large pyramid of the plate of Gizeh.

Contrary to its predecessors, the pyramidal complex of Khéphren is preserved better, than it is the pyramid, its high temple, its rising roadway and the low temple. It is of the latter, as well as temple of the sphinx, which come from many fragments of statues to the effigy of Khéphren including one complete out of gneiss which is exposed to the museum of Cairo. Khéphren is represented sat on the throne of Horus, is capped Némès and the head protected by the god falcon.
