Khémisset

Khémisset (in Arabic: rear RTL الخميسات) is a city of Morocco. It is also the chief town of the province of the same name, the Province of Khémisset. It is located in the area of Reduction-Salted-Zemmour-Zaer.

Khémisset counts: 105088 inhabitants.

The city is located at 70 km of Rabat and 55 km of Meknès.

Culture

Khémisset is especially known for its carpets Berbères (hanbel) and its restaurants of skewers appreciated by the truck drivers.

Khémisset is also known for its fantasias and its moussems of which most known is that of the tribe of Has Yadine which gathers the best riders and horses of Morocco.

Population

Its population is primarily berbérophone resulting from the tribes neighborhood of Zemmour.

The city does not cease increasing even if it does not count a true center of attraction except its Artisanat. Indeed, there are no factories and the main thing of the economy rests on the small shops and the Agriculture.
