Kfar Etzion

Kfar Etzion (כפרעציון) is a Israeli Kibboutz located in Judaea between Jerusalem and Hebron. Initially established in so much qu E Migdal Eder (מגדלעדר) in 1927 by immigrants Jewish Yemenis, it was abandoned in 1929 following the riots of 1929 in Palestine. It was restored in 1934 again abandoned then in 1939 following the Grande Arab revolt in Palestine.

In 1943, Kfar Etzion was reinstalled for the third time with several establishments forming the Block of Etzion.

It was the site of several battles during the Israeli-Arab Guerre of 1948. It fell the May 13rd 1948 and was the seat of the massacre of 240 Jews.

After the War the six day old, the inhabitants of Kfar Etzion there went back and built new houses. Today, Kfar Etzion comprises a museum which recalls the history of the Block of Eztion.
