Original creators

The creators of the Keystone would be an old race extraterrestrial the very advanced one. They terraformé Madrona there is more than 900 years. Only this device in the shape of sphere and a stick carrying the same drawing remains to inform us about their identity.

The device was created to protect a primitive race. The Asgard or the Anciens are possible creators. But the Keystone does not resemble any of their other devices.

Capacities of the device

This apparatus is able artificially to control the climate of a planet. Its creators seized there the atmospheric conditions of PX7-941 to control the catastrophic weather conditions which threatened to destroy this world. When the Keystone was stolen, Madronans underwent blizzard S, a strong fall of the temperatures and winds very violent one. When the device was carried by not-identified agents, the SGC discovered that the Keystone had also a powerful effect on the terrestrial environment, causing weather disasters rare, similar to those caused by El Niño.

Instructions of operation

Madronans are a primitive race unable to make go the Porte of the stars of their world. Only the large priest and holder of the stick, Roham, can control the Keystone. His/her niece, the princess Moor, is the only other person authorized to handle it. If harvests are bad on Madrona, Roham uses the Keystone to increase the power of the sun or the rain, according to the needs.

Mechanical function

The Keystone is if advanced that the SGC was unable to determine how it functions. It is similar of aspect to a small gyroscope with three axes, although much more complex and intrigante. By measuring the emissions of the external mobile ring, one discovered that the device emits a heat so powerful that it can create a reactional thermal fall in its immediate environment. The smallest movement of the interior ring sends a force to the top at such a speed that it causes a circulation of air, thus forming a basic zone pressure. These extreme conditions are typical at the time of the storms.

Material: Unknown metal element, of density similar to lead. This metal does not behave like a terrestrial metal. When the device is activated, it becomes enough light to be handled with a hand.
