Kevrenn Bro Logunec\' H

The Kevrenn Bro Logunec' H (“bagad of the country of Breton Locminé” in ) is a Bagad currently evolving/moving in 5th category. It is based on the area of Locminé in the Morbihan (56). It is also an association law 1901 bearing the same name.

Formation

The bagad of the country of Locminé is affiliated to the B.A.S. 56 (rear Bodadeg Sonerion of Morbihan). It counts about thirty Musicien S distributed in the three desks constituting a bagad: Bagpipe S, bombards S and battery S percussions.

Historical reference marks

  • 1998 : A group of friends of the surroundings of Locminé was found regularly to play of the Breton traditional music. After invitebeing invited in various demonstrations, this group of friends decided to create a structure making it possible to transmit to the greatest number the traditional music and the local cultural heritage.

  • 1999 : creation of association Bugale Dornegan (“children of Dornegan” into Breton). Dornegan was the Korrigan country of Locminé and the legend tells that it was fêtard, musician and Danseur. This association gathered a workshop of Breton traditional dances, a music school and a team of collecting of the local musical inheritance, which the bagad takes as a starting point. Thereafter a bagad was created emanating from this association: Kevrenn Bro Logunec' h. Later, by preoccupation with a simplification, the name of association Bugale Dornegan will be abandoned with the profit of Kevrenn Bro Logunec' h.
  • 2002 : the bagad account from now on in its center the three desks traditional of a bagad, namely bombard, bagpipes and batteries/percussions.

  • 2004 : the bagad is presented for the first time to the departmental contest of the bagadoù of 5th category to Locoal-Mendon organized by B.A.S. 56. The bagad was classified 7th on 12 participants.

  • 2005 : the bagad is presented for the first time to the national competition of the bagadoù of 5th category to Carhaix-Plouguer (Finistere). The bagad was classified 5th on 12 participants in his hen (3 hens in all).

  • 2007 : September 23rd, the bagad takes part in the parade of the Breizh Touch on the Fields-Élysées with Paris.

  • 2006 : from August 30th to September 4th, on the invitation of the Hungarian group Budafok Big Band met a few years earlier at the time of the festival of the musics of Nangis (Seine-et-Marne), the bagad goes in Hungary at the time of the festival of the wines organized to Budafok (suburbs of Budapest).

  • 2007 : September 23rd, at the time of Breizh Parade which enclosed the festival of the Brittany to Paris (Breizh Touch), the bagad ravels on the avenue of the Fields-Élysées among 3000 musicians and dancers from Brittany, of Scotland, Ireland, the Wales, Galicia, the Asturies and the Acadie. This procession was retransmis on line on TF1.

The bagad takes part in different Concours since 2004:
  • May 16th, 2004 : Contest of the bagadoù of 5th category of Morbihan with Locoal-Mendon organized by B.A.S. 56. The bagad was classified 7th on 12 participants.

  • May 15th, 2005 : Contest of the bagadoù of 5th category of Morbihan with Locoal-Mendon organized by B.A.S. 56. The bagad was classified 11th on 11 participants.

  • July 14th, 2005 : National competition of the bagadoù of 5th category in Carhaix organized by B.A.S. The bagad was classified 5th on 12 participants in his hen (3 hens in all).

  • May 14th, 2006 : Contest of the bagadoù]] of 5th category in Locoal-Mendon organized by B.A.S.56. The bagad was classified 6th on 11 participants.

  • July 14th, 2006 : National competition of the bagadoù of 5th category in Carhaix organized by B.A.S. The bagad was classified 4th on 10 participants in his hen.

  • May 17th, 2007 : Contest of the bagadoù of 5th category of Morbihan with Valves organized by B.A.S. 56. The bagad was classified 2nd on 10 participants.

  • July 14th, 2007 : National competition of the bagadoù of 5th category in Carhaix organized by B.A.S. the bagad was classified 6th on 10 participants in his hen.
