Kevin Delaney Kline is an actor and American realizer born the October 24th 1947 with Saint Louis, Missouri (the United States).
Biography
In 1970, Kevin Kline takes down a grant and integrates the section Dramatic art of the Juilliard School into New York. In 1972, it assembles the company of theater City Center Acting Company with comrades of promotion, under the aegis of the British actor John Houseman. The company puts in scene parts of Shakespeare, traditional works, but also a Musical comedy, The Robber Bridegroom, and is represented a little everywhere with the the United States. It leaves the troop in 1976 to settle with New York, making a short appearance under the character of Woody Reed in the television serial It is already tomorrow (Search For Tomorrow). It turns over on the boards in 1978, incarnating the role of Bruce Granit in the musical comedy One the Twentieth Century , for which it will obtain its first Tony Award.
In 1981, it plays at the time of the New York Shakespeare Festival with the singer Linda Ronstadt and the artist Rex Smith in a musical comedy, The Pirates off Penzance, and it is rewarded for a second Tony Award as a better main actor. He will play then this same part in a film adaptation which will have only one very limited success. In the years which follow, Kevin Kline occurs regularly for the New York Shakespeare Festival, in particular in the parts Richard III, Beaucoup of noise for nothing, Henry V, two versions of Hamlet of which one which it produces, and obtains a nomination with the Tony Awards for the role of Falstaff in a part combining the two parts of Henri IV.
