Keuruu

Keuruu is a city mid-west of the Finland, in western edge of the area of Finland-Power station.

One finds there an old church of wood going back to 1759, less known than his close relation neighbor of Petäjävesi.

The municipality is very wide, especially since the annexation of the commune of Pihlajavesi in 1969. The forest occupies the essence of the ground and the population density is low out of the immediate proximity of the center town.

The commune is crossed by the main road 23, East-West axis Pori - Petäjävesi. The most important cities in the vicinity are Jyväskylä (58 km) and Tampere (120 km).

The close municipalities are Multia in north, Petäjävesi in the east, Jämsänkoski in south-east, Jämsä in the south, Mänttä and Vilppula in south-west, Virrat in the west (3 last in the Pirkanmaa) and finally Ähtäri in the North-West (Ostrobotnie of the South).
