Kery James ( Alix Mathurin with the civil statue) was born the December 28th 1977 with the Abysses in Guadeloupe parents Haiti ens. It is raised by his/her mother with Orly in suburbs Paris ienne, in the the Valley-of-Marne.

Biography

It starts with Rap per at the 12 years age (1989!) and on the album of MC Solaar " poses; Which sows the wind collects the tempo " under the name of Kery B (piece " Ragga jam") (Kery James also turned in a short-measuring " the bledia"), he is member of the group Ideal J, initially entitled Ideal Junior because of their young ages. The main thing MC with the explicit and believed words, it evolves/moves at the sides of its assistants, DJ Mehdi, Teddy Corona, Las Montana, Manu Key, Rocco, Alter.

It is in 1992 that they leave “ the life is brutal ”; this title is the premise of talented artists but Alter leaves the group. Ideal Junior, which becomes Ideal J, falls then between the hands from a producer who has only the business at the head. For this difficult period, the group finds its reference marks artistic since Kery works its writing whereas Mehdi progresses at the point to be one of the best musical producers in France.

This work collects its fruits with the exit of the first album of Ideal J in 1996, “ Original MC ”. The group becomes one of most famous and respected in the medium of the French rap with titles impossible to circumvent like “ French Ghetto ”, “ Show business ” and, “ I want cash ”. Ideal J multiplies the appearances on Maxis as in featuring to reach an astonishing maturity on the piece “ I afflict my parents ”, present on compilation “ Nouvelle Gives ”. In 1998, Ideal J makes speak about him with the title “ Hardcore ”, very voted by plebiscite by the media but boycotted out of radio and on TV because of a clip considered disturbing.

Ideal J is not any more doubts in the spirits since he is regarded as one of the best groups. But after death in 1999 of Mow Montana (assassination), his/her friend of childhood, it moves away to be invested fully in the Islam where it finds a new force. Ali (Moslem first name of Kery after its conversion) forsakes a time the music for the religion. Its reputation intensifies, as well as waiting of the public. The exit of its first album solo, initially scheduled for January 2001, is pushed back.

In October 2001 leaves finally the album “ If were To be remade ” with inter alia, the titles “ December 28th, 1977 ”, “ If were to be remade ”, “ Soledad ”, “ Y' does not have a color ”. In this album, (no cord or wind instrument is present because of its new religious convictions). This album reflects the astonishing maturity of which made Kery proof.

In 2005, after his participation in compilation “ Illicite Project” with his title “ I do not believe any more in illicit the ”, left his new album solo, “ My Truth ” with the titles “ I could have said ”, “ Mine ” or “ Hardcore (2005) ” with the participation of Iron Sy.

On Saturday, July 21, 2007, accompanied by some friends whose rappor Rohff, it meets MC Jean Gab' 1 in Paris (carries of Vincennes), a dispute follows himself from there. Each one will express its version of the facts by vidéos diffused on Internet.

In 2007 or 2008, should leave film Kery James recalling his life. This project is due to him particularly in heart.

A new album should leave spring 2008, already preceded by the title " the combat continues 3".
