Kernel Patch Protection

Kernel Patch Protection ( KPP ), known also under the name of PatchGuard , is a functionality of the editions X64 of Microsoft Windows which offers a protection against the update of the core of the operating system.

This functionality was for the first time introduced into the editions x64 of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
