Kerinci
The Kerinci is most Volcan of Indonesia and with 3.805 meters, the culminating point of the island of Sumatra. It is located in the central part of the west of the island, close to its Western coast, to approximately 130 km in the south of Padang, the capital of the province of Western Sumatra.
It is the principal reference mark of the National park of Kerinci Seblat, with its slopes covered of forests of pine and its 25 km length cone on 13 km broad at the base, directed North-South. Its crater is 600 meters in diameter and is often partly filled with a water yellow-green because of the Soufre.
Kerinci is one of the most active volcanos of Indonesia. Its last eruption goes back to 2004.
Linguistics
The language kerinci is what is called a " Malayan local" , i.e. the form of Malayan spoken in the area.
