Keratosis
see also: Etymology of Keratosis
The keratosis (or keratodermy or hyperkératose) is a thickening of the layer cornea (Stratum corneum) épidermique.
One also finds in the medical literature: the atrophying pilar keratosis of Brocq, the séborrhéïque keratosis and the para-keratosis which are forms of keratosis which appear at different ages with, each one, of topographies spécifiques.
It is a benign pathology (see Ichtyose), but it must be different:
-
of the Kératoacanthome
- of the cutaneous pre-cancerous lesions (actinic or solar keratosis)
- of the Carcinome épidermoïde (also called spino-cellular carcinome)
