Keolis

Keolis is a French company of public transport travellers who belongs to the Groupe the SNCF. She is born in April 2001 by fusion of Cariane and VIA-GTI. This company exploits urban grid systems Autobus, Tramway S, Métro S and local and regional railway networks in several countries of Europe.

This company of private law is with the head of an important group which employs 33.250 worker and carries out a Turnover of more than 2 billion euros.

Exploited urban networks

The two more important networks managed in France by Keolis are those of Lyon (TCL) and Lille (Transpole). In November 2004, the concession of the network of Lyon was réattribuée in Keolis, which was in competition with the grouping Transdev - the RATP.

This subsidiary company of the Keolis group ensures the exploitation and the marketing of several grid systems of people for the account of organizing authorities (AO) in the Apple-brandy.

Green Buses of the Apple-brandy Organizing authority: The General advice of the Apple-brandy

The interurban network of the Apple-brandy was created by the General advice. A contract of 8 (DSP) year old public service delegation, binds Keolis Calvados to the General advice. It was renewed at January 1st, 2006. More known under the name of the GREEN BUSES of the Apple-brandy, the network counts 59 regular lines (25 commercial lines, 1 Express line inter regional, 33 school lines) and records each year more than six million displacements, including more than 4.800.000 school displacements. School transport accounts for 80% of the frequentation of the network. All the vehicles belong to the General advice.

TaxiBus Organizing authority: The General advice of the Apple-brandy

Deployed in 2004 on the totality of the Apple-brandy of 23 basins of life, this service offers a public transport complementary to the regular bus lines GREEN for approximately 166.000 inhabitants (either nearly 20% of the population of the department). The TAXIBUS of the Apple-brandy were set up with an aim of serving the most wedged communes Apple-brandy and of thus making it to the inhabitants possible to move for needs for first need (administrative approaches, go medical, races and gone…) It functions 2 or 3 days per week, according to definite time slots. These services are carried out by a score of companies of Taxis. 12.000 voyages were carried out in 2005.

Network ByBus Organizing authority: Town of BAYEUX

BYBUS is the urban grid system of the agglomeration of Bayeux. 45.000 commercial voyages and 17.000 school voyages were carried out in 2005. This network makes it possible to serve the districts of Bayeux, St Martin of the Entries, Chojnice, St Vigor the Large one and Nihault/St Julien with only one line. Outward journeys and returns on line are adapted to the hours of entries and exits of the schools what offers an ease of transport to the schoolboys and to the high-school pupils.

Network LEXOBUS Organizing authority: Town of LISIEUX

LEXOBUS is the urban grid system of the agglomeration of Lisieux. It makes it possible to serve Lisieux, St Desire, Beuvillers. Six regular lines circulate 7/7j. 412.000 commercial voyages and 97.000 school were carried out in 2005. Network Ho DRUNK Organizing authority: Town of HONFLEUR

H.O. BUS is the urban grid system of the agglomeration of Honfleur. It makes it possible to serve Honfleur, Equemauville, the river St Saver on only one line with 27 possible stops. 214.000 commercial voyages and 161.000 school voyages were carried out in 2005.
