Kenneth Grahame (March 8th 1859 with Edinburgh - July 6th 1932 with Pangbourne in the county of Berkshire) is a British novelist .
He is mainly known for his novel the Wind in the willows ( The Wind in the Willows , 1908), traditional of the literature for children, writing at the origin for his son who shared the stubbornness of Clamping plate, Baron tétard ( Toad off Toad Hall , one of the main characters). Its most famous illustrator is Ernest Howard Shepard.
Become orphan, Grahame leaves food with his/her grandmother. It makes its studies with Oxford but cannot enter to the university. He works at the Bank of England until his retirement in 1907.
